Oncology Nurse
Duties include direct patient care for oncology patients. I implemented a program to provide health information material to patients and visitors. Additionally, I was part of a team that traveled to M. D. Anderson to study the special needs of oncology patients and their nurses. Crossed trained to perform out patient chemotherapy.
OR Circulator and Post Anesthesia Recovery Nurse
Duties include pre-assessment of patient before surgery, transporting patient to the surgical suite, emotional support for the patient and patient’s family, circulating during surgery and recovery. Crossed trained in out patient day surgery duties and endoscopies.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Providing primary care to adults, pregnant women, and children with acute illness and chronic health problems. Prenatal services are also provided. The main diagnoses are acute otitis, allergic rhinitis, acute sinusitis, upper respiratory infections, annual health care maintenance, family planning, tonsillitis, gastroenteritis, menstrual abnormalities, sexual transmitted diseases, and abdominal pain. Limited care has been provided to adults with hypothyroidism, hyperlipidemia, and osteoporosis.
